General Information
Set among the wooded Umbrian hills just 7 kilometers from the centre of Perugia, the imposing Castello dell'Oscano was saved from ruin at the end of the 18th century by a Tirolese Austrian named Telfner. Today it functions as a prestigious and elegant period residence of extraordinary charm and seduction, a time warp through which guests can imagine themselves in another age as they stroll through the park, eat in the magnificent dining room or just read a book in the castle's well-stocked library.
The Castello dell'Oscano has 10 junior suites and 3 superior rooms. All rooms are large, sunny and elegantly furnished, with private bathroom, satellite television, telephone, air-conditioning and mini-bar.
The cuisine served in the elegant Turandot dining room is authentically regional in style. The castle cellars stock some 200 varieties of Umbrian wine. The castle chef personally runs an interesting assortment of thematic cooking courses.
The fine library and elegant drawing rooms of the castle are ideal for reading, chatting or holding informal meetings. There is also a specially designed meeting room for larger needs. The impeccable and discreet service in which the castle prides itself makes it the ideal venue for all kinds of cultural and society events.
For those who are just interested in relaxing, the castle grounds, with their wooded and secluded paths, are the ideal place to unwind. Clients have free run of the castle's open-air car park, the covered swimming pool and the grounds.
